Department of Health and Human Services Chief Technology Office Feedback Forum
Welcome to the Department of Health and Human Service's Chief Technology
Office Feedback Page. Feedback and engagement are two important concepts the
Chief Technology Officer embrace and encourage - ranging from soliciting ideas
on how to improve data sets on HealthData.gov, to stories on how developers and
entrepreneurs are leveraging health data to create apps, products and services,
to asking for feedback on the CTO Innovation Strategy Document.
As part of the
Immediate Office of the Secretary, the Chief Technology Officer oversees
opportunities to leverage underutilized assets – initially identified as data
and our human capital – to maximize productivity. We are uniquely positioned to incubate and
oversee Department-wide innovation activities. Thus, our programs address crosscutting problems
that impact Secretarial priorities, affect multiple units of the organization, and demand an
enterprise-wide solution. We are looking for feedback on the draft version of our Chief Technology Officer Strategy Document. The strategy document will guide and measure the activities and initiatives of the Chief Technology Officer in building a 21st century workforce of problem solvers. The strategy document not only outlines the role of the Chief Technology Officer, but provides a detailed framework on the activities and programs developed and managed by the Technology Office. Please review the document and provide us with you feedback, be it a vote, comment or new idea. If you would like to comment on a specific section, we have broken the document up into sections.
